1. Who We Are

Socialyra ("we", "us", "our") operates the Socialyra Automation platform at socialyra.com — an AI-powered social media scheduling, content generation, and blog publishing service. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your personal information when you use our platform.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

Account Information — Name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash) when you register.

Billing Data — Subscription billing events, payment confirmation, amount, and a transaction reference. We do not store full card numbers. Payment processing is handled by our payment processors.

Platform Content — Social media posts, blog content, media files, AI prompts, and workspace settings you create. This content is stored to deliver the scheduling and publishing service.

Connected Accounts — OAuth tokens for social media platforms you connect. These tokens are encrypted at rest and used solely to post content on your behalf.

Usage Data — Pages visited, features used, IP address, browser type, device information, and session identifiers for security and analytics.

Support Communications — Ticket content and correspondence with our support team.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to: (a) operate and deliver the Automation platform; (b) process subscription billing; (c) publish scheduled posts and blog content on your behalf; (d) send transactional emails (billing confirmations, workspace invites, support replies); (e) provide AI-powered content generation by passing your prompts and workspace context to AI model providers; (f) maintain account security and prevent fraud; (g) improve the Platform through aggregate analytics; (h) comply with legal obligations.

4. AI Services & Data

Socialyra Automation uses AI models (via OpenRouter and similar providers) to generate content. When you use AI features, your prompts, workspace brand context, and AI memory settings are sent to the AI provider to generate responses. We do not use your content to train AI models. AI providers process data subject to their own privacy policies. If you use your own API key (Free plan), data is sent directly from our servers to your chosen provider.

5. Email Communications

By creating an account, you consent to receive transactional emails related to your account activity, orders, scheduling confirmations, workspace invitations, and support tickets. We use Resend or AWS SES to deliver emails. You cannot opt out of transactional emails while your account is active, but you can delete your account to stop receiving them. We do not send unsolicited marketing emails without your explicit opt-in.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We share limited information only with:

Social Media Platforms — When publishing posts on your behalf, your scheduled content is transmitted to the relevant platform using your connected account tokens.

AI Providers — Prompts and workspace context are sent to AI model providers to generate content.

Payment Processors — Our payment providers process your payment data subject to their respective privacy policies.

Email Provider — Resend or AWS SES delivers our transactional emails and processes your email address.

Legal Requirements — We may disclose information when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights and safety of Socialyra and its users.

7. Data Retention

We retain account information and transaction history for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period after deletion for legal and audit purposes (typically 2 years). Automation workspace content (posts, media, blog posts) is retained until you delete it or your account is closed. Support ticket content is retained for 2 years. You may request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting [email protected].

8. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including password hashing (bcrypt), HTTPS encryption in transit, OAuth token encryption at rest, Cloudflare R2 for secure media storage, secure session management (NextAuth.js), and strict server-side access controls. We cannot guarantee absolute security. Please use a strong, unique password and do not share your account credentials or API keys.

9. Cookies & Tracking

We use session cookies required for authentication and platform functionality. We use a minimal analytics setup that does not share data with advertising networks or third-party trackers. No third-party advertising cookies or tracking pixels are placed on our marketing website without your consent. A cookie consent banner is shown on first visit.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent (where processing is consent-based); and receive a portable copy of your data. 11. Children's Privacy

Socialyra is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

12. International Transfers

Your information may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including servers operated by our AI providers, email delivery services, and cloud storage providers. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer. We take steps to ensure data is handled securely and in accordance with applicable data protection law regardless of location.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you via email or platform notification before material changes take effect. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
